Renewing your vows

There is no time limit on when or how often you can profess your love for one another. The beauty of vow renewals is that, unlike a wedding, it is all about you and the love of your life.

Some couples choose to renew their vows every year, while others choose large milestones. You can choose to have an intimate renewal with just the two of you or make it more of a celebration by inviting friends and family along as well.

Funeral & Celebration of Life

A Funeral or Celebration of Life does not need to be held in a funeral home and it does not need to be religious. It doesn’t need to conform to any particular rules or guidelines. It can be as unique as the person you are honoring. It is entirely up to you to decide what is right for your ceremony. You are free to include only those components that your loved one would approve of or that you and your family are comfortable with. And while it may seem like its a lot to think about, once you get started you’ll be certain to create an event that is the perfect final send-off to celebrate a unique life.

Commitment Ceremony

A commitment ceremony is very similar to a Wedding Ceremony. The only real difference is that a commitment ceremony is not legally binding. A commitment ceremony stands as a public affirmation of a couple’s commitment to one another, without it being recognised by the law.

A commitment ceremony includes the exchanging of vows and rings between the couple, and often readings, poems, and any desired rituals the couple wishes to include.

Naming Ceremony

A naming day is a symbolic celebration that requires no licences and has no legalities. It can take any format that you choose; a simple welcome to the world, a formal naming of your child, or a blessing for your baby and family. It is also a time for you to make certain promises and commitments to your child, and for other important people in your child’s life to give well wishes, and pledge their support.

A naming ceremony lasts about 30 minutes on average and as a Celebrant I can lead the ceremony for you. I can organise special activities you would like to include and I will provide beautiful commemorative certificates for the child and supporting adults in the ceremony.

Naming days are not just for babies as some choose to combine a ceremony with a child’s first birthday, but children of any age can have a naming ceremony. You can hold your ceremony in any location; your home or garden, a local park, beach or hired venue.
